It looks to me like your 1st run was at 52 degrees and the second at 76 degrees. Your second run is higher in numbers due to the temp variation. I don't think that pipe is doing the job you expect it to. In order to have power gains, there's gotta be some backpressure, which the pipe does not offer. I don't doubt it sounds awesome, but it came at a price...

Funny, I think you have a misunderstanding of basic engine dynamics, and / or how a supertrapp pipe works.

First, the cooler the air the better fuel burn you will have so your theory on the temp difference is just a little back assward, ( higher intake temps equal less power not more )

Second, the principle behind the Supertrapp pipe is that the amount of back pressure is completly adjustable, This is done by adding or removing the plates you see stacked on the end of the pipe, this will either increase or reduce your back pressure depending on what actions you take.

Third, back pressure is primarily required to retain torque, because you can add a free flowing pipe to your bike and gain peak horsepower numbers and loose a significate amount of torque.

Fourth, props to rob for using this set up, you can achive great results using these pipes but it adds a whole nother dimension to the tuning process. Tuning the exhaust while tuning the FI can take weeks.

funny..the temp diff has makes no change to my numbers due to the fact that im using sae correction. This takes into account air temp baro pressure alltitude etc. If you look correction factors are at .95 on the stock run and .97 on the modded run. You also have it backwards, if I was using uncorrected factor both runs would have made more power and the stock would have increased more than the modded run. Good try though!! Thank you stopie for clearing this up!! props

and yes amen to the part about it can take weeks to tune. I've spent probably 15hrs on the dyno and made around 20 full throttle runs, the closed loop area is where i spent most of my tuning and Im still not done. The timing was byfar the hardest to do because with timing changes you also have to change fuel, Im very happy with what i've got right now, but I can't leave anything alone!:D
