I have a Firebolt with a full fairing kit, race ecm, air box delete, and race muffler. I run synthetic oil but my bike still overheats and runs lean under hard throttle I was wondering if you can make the fan always be on while the bike is running? I'm pretty good with ECMSpy and have found no way to do it, any suggestions?

What year firebolt do you have? The newer ones have fans that run pretty much all the time. You might just be able to get one of the newer maps put on your ecm. I'm not sure how all of that works, but I've heard about people taking their bikes into the dealerships for services, and the dealership had loaded the new maps and their fans were running constantly.

When you say full fairing kit, you mean the engine is covered like a normal sportbike? I think those are known to keep the engine temperatures up a little bit as well, but that's the price for beauty I guess.

In ECMSpy there are settings for Fan Turn-on temperatures, one while running, one while off. You could set these temperatures really low (0 degrees). Then the fan would always be on.

Its a 2004 and has a sharkskinz full body kit. GW 04 XB12R were in ECMSpy are the fan settings are they name something different?

well, now i feel like a real fool ... I can't find it either [confused]. i was positive it was in there, i remember seeing 180 celsius while running and 150 while off... i'll do some more research and try to get back to you. until then, sorry for getting your hopes up :(

Running lean is most likely your biggest problem. Richen it up and your engine temps will be lower.
