I have a 2007 XB12R that I bought a few weeks ago that seems to be running ruff. I was told that it has a race ECM and a Hawk exhaust. I'm new to owning a Buell and will admit I'm a new-bee, any help would be appreciated. The problems I'm having are: it bucks when in low and mid RPM, dies at start up after about 30 sec (but not all the time), and doesn't seem to have the torque that I've heard about. I have a ECM spy and reset the TPS a few times in hope that it might fix the problem, but it hasn't. I've looked up the race maps on the ECM and it looks like they match the ones posted online. I took her to the Dragon in NC this weekend and found myself fighting her at every corner; she was bucking at 3500 RPMs. Another thing, sometimes when she's warmed up and I come to a stop the RPMs will stay at 2000 until I engage the clutch to slow down the engine, then it goes back to 1000 RPM. It doesn't do it all the time. What is going on. Please help! Here is a picture of her.

Couple of things. First the TPS is off a little thats why it revs up to 2000 rpms and stays.
The thing takes a while to warm up...you just get on it and drive. Wait like 5 mins before taking off. I started mine then zipped my jacket and put my ear phones and my helmet on and gloves then go. needs a min to warm up. It's a Harley at heart.
Lastly, the race map was made for the race muffler not the one you have on it. You should log some rides and build a map to your riding style and bike. There's a doityourself section or check the tuniversity.

I'll check out the tuniversity site. The TPS has been set like three times in the last 2 weeks, and I noticed when the idle adjuster is all the way out the throttle sticks at the bottom and doesn't quite read zero on the degree and throttle position in ECM spy unless I turn the throttle hard to close. Could that have anything to do with it? Should I force it to read zero before I reset the TPS or should I just snap the throttle a few times and reset it where it lie?
In the how to reset the TPS video posted on youtube he says to set the idle screw to 5.3 - 5.5 degrees, but on his ECM spy screen he sets the throttle % position between those values, does anyone know which one is right?

the TPS video posted on youtube he says to set the idle screw to 5.3 - 5.5 degrees,

the technical manual will answer your question, ive never done it off his video

I was told that it has a race ECM and a Hawk exhaust.
go back to stock.

it bucks when in low and mid RPM
go back to stock.
adjust fuel.

dies at start up after about 30 sec (but not all the time)
check/replace ets.
check/replace iat.
check/adjust wue.

and doesn't seem to have the torque that I've heard about
go back to stock.
adjust exhaust valve switching points.

reset the TPS a few times
waste of time.
once done correctly will last 10.000 mls.

the RPMs will stay at 2000 until I engage the clutch to slow down the engine, then it goes back to 1000 RPM
check static timing.
adjust idle timing.
no need to replace intake manifold gaskets. these are okay.
