Hi ,my 09 XB12SCG engine checking light keep on all the time. Anyone know how to cure this sickness on my Hero blue .thanks

sean: see response to email you sent me on this. first thing i would try is disconnect battery over-nite then reconnect and see if light goes out after normal set-up. normal set-up being ignition on, run switch on, needle sweep, then 5 second pause. if still on check battery terminals for cleanliness and tightness, then check grounds. a ground fault will light CEL continuously. if those steps don't resolve the issue then access diagnostics plug underseat and jump pins #1&2 and see below list for trouble-codes.

You have anaftermarket exhaust so it's very likely that you need to disable the exhaust valve in the ecm or with a plug in eliminator

excellent point and i just assumed that was already done by the PO but well worth checking.
