Looks nice and is definately loud. Was that a car alarm in the background set off by the bike ??? [up]

LOL, no, it was a smoke alarm that has been slowly dying. It goes off at random and it's out in the garage. I think it was laying right behind me when it went off.

It's not as loud as the other systems I've done.

WHOLY GOD!!

wait its still 0.00 USD plus shipping and handling too.

I'll take three! :p

ok but in all seriousness it looks very sharp, sounds like a D&D with more bass and a bit more rich of a tone.
I like it, find an optional way to dampen it down to race exhaust volume level add some chin faring brackets and you will probably sell a bunch. [up]

any idea on cost yet?

I know it doesn't sound like it a lot, but the 1125 is definitely louder.

I doubt I'll do the brackets. This one took a while to build.

HAH, I missed the reference to the price at first! I don't know for sure if I'll sell this particular design yet. I haven't really done any testing on it except for one very short ride. If there's a demand for it, I might do them, but I've got some other stuff I want to do still.

Not sure I really like how the downpipe looks at this point. I have some other things I'll be trying out later, this one was just playing around to see what it sounded like.

it does sound loud, but hard to tell how loud , sounds ok for a youtube vid, thats whats sucks about youtubevideos is the sound/picture quality , but compared to alot of other exhaust vids sounds it sounds pretty damn good,
so what is the Decibel level, is it louder than race pipe or d&d, drumer, hawk how does the sound compare, would like to see some hp/tq dyno results when you get those. wondering how it would look with chin fairing. great job.

I don't have any other XB's with different pipes to compare it to. Never heard the pipes you mentioned in person, so it's tough to really compare. That said, I do have an 1125 and this one is quieter, even though its the same design and roughly the same length.
Just as a guess, the higher compression on the 1125 makes it sound a little louder.

I plan to dyno it. I'll either do some basic tuning myself or send it to EBR and have them do it right if I end up selling more than a few of these. I did notice some decel popping, so it's going to need some fuel.

Well, I ran it today, hauled it in the truck. Previous run, 85 hp. This time, 94 hp. No fuel changes, although I think it will make more power with extra fuel. It ran about 15:1 or so throughout the middle of the powerband, so it could certainly use more. I'll post pics of the dyno charts later.

I guess that makes it about a 10% gain for power?

Stock, something wasn't working right on the dyno, so no inductive pickup, ie; no torque curve.

Modified. The first run was weird for torque so they deleted it, but I saw 94.8 hp before they did. No pics, so I can't prove it. Oh well. I'll take 8.5 hp for a gain. NO fuel changes either. Keep in mind, this is just the pipe ONLY.

AF ratio. It's a smidgen lean. I see more hp there waiting to get out.

I think this one is average for power output, 85 hp, so torque would have been about 70 ft/lbs or so. From 4-7k rpm, it's over 70 and peaks at 80, so it's not perfectly flat.
I guess a 9-10 ft/lb jump in torque is good?
