So, the time comes that my wife has had a change of heart & decided to sell her beloved Lightning Scg. I bought the bike from the first owner in Chicago, & we had a blast riding it this summer. My wife never got comfortable with it & despite it being the Scg, she's still on her tip toes. She's dropped it twice; parking lot/ driveway incidents while sitting still. Last time she tore her thigh muscle & hurt her back trying to keep it up. So, it's onto a reevaluation & perhaps something lower & longer.
Both frame pucks did their jobs & suffered very minor abrasions. They are neither deformed nor unglued. The Rizoma bar-end mirrors show scuffs & there is ONE small ding in the pipe approx 3-4mm long. The clutch lever was scuffed on the ball end but not bent; the ASV levers were installed to help her with the reach. After the first drop, I installed 5-O-Dro axle sliders. It does still need a shifter rubber; ordered & on the way. Blinkers, bars, bodywork, airbox cover, screen, seat/ subframe, & footpegs are all perfect & unblemished. Original mirrors, levers, & a Battery Tender all included. I'll throw in a M HJC modular helmet (white in color) if needed.
2010 XB12Scg, Cherry bomb with only 2990 on the clock! Probably the lowest miles Lightning in the US, & I'd venture to say the nicest unmodified one (despite the tip-overs). Tires are still fresh with >90% tread. K&N filter, runs tip top. Lives on the Tender when not in use. Runs like a Buell Lightning should!
