Well, on something of an impulse (surprise!) I just bought a Moto Guzzi, and so I now need to make room for her. With some sadness, on the block goes my '06 Buell XB12X, 15K+ miles. Excellent condition, always garaged, ridden by a not-so-young fellow who likes to ride quickly but who does not care for wheelies or burnouts or the like. In fact I like a torquey motor, and this lump has so much grunt that I tend to shift early and have only approached redline the few times that I just wanted to see what it was like. I never intended to take her off-road, just wanted a sport bike that could easily handle lumpy mountain roads and not abuse me with sport-bike-like accomodations. She delivers on that!
The Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires are in very good condition (the front is brand new), and the regularly serviced motor (not that it needs much!) just received a fresh dosing of fully synthetic oil (Rotella T) and primary goo (Mobil One) and a slight tensioning of the primary chain. The only modifications were a later-model seat (the taller original seat is included), the later-model perforated airbox cover, and a K&N filter. There's a factory service manual and a gel-padded backrest for the triple-tail included, and I'll also thrown in the textile tail-case in the pics.
