XB9 11% Primary gearing increase kit

Has anyone tried the XB12 primary gearing in their XB9? It is available from american sportbike for about 200 clams. They claim dogged low end response if the 9 isn't all hopped up on mountain dew.

I have an 09 XB9SX and I do a lot of interstate travel. My hopes are that this kit will increase my gas mileage and give me that theoretical 6th gear (or an overdrive per say) as my baby currently screams at over 4000 rpm to get 80mph yeilding a mere 40mpg.

I posted this on the badweb too, im hoping to get more opinions from a new audience here.

my xb12 screams at 4k rpm when i'm doing 80 also. 3500 rpm at 70mph. I'd love for it to be around 3000, maybe 3200 rpm at 70mph. Any ideas?

i had the 12 gears on my old 9. i didnt think it was worth the money. its not that big of a change and my top end didnt go up more then 10mph. plus when i put the gears in i had almost no chance of getting a wheelie even in 1st gear.
