xb9 header on xb12

Any one no if a set of 09 xb9 headers will fit on a 08 xb12 motor?
if they do fit what will the repercussions be?

I do know the bends are a little different, 12 headers will fit on a 9 but might not go the other way. Might be a fit problem at the cam cover area, if it does fit, there will probably be a power loss due to the smaller sized pipe (restriction).

Bolt on...yes. But will lose power with smaller diameter.

I know that a '03 9 pipe fits on a '04 12. It builds more bottom end but loses on the top. The owner of the bike really likes it.

Yeah i used it for ease of looking at afr on the dyno. If you do buy it we have bung plugs in stock here. Not sure how much but they can be that bad. I just used an old set of o2s to plug them i liked the look.

so i called new castle buell, they werent much help basically just said that because they have different part numbers they probably wouldnt fit. @ nemo if i find our i can use 9 pipes on a 12 im interested

the pipe will fit on your bike just fine. the diameter of the pipe is smaller on the 9 vs. 12
