I'm looking to see if anyone has a map for a 03 xb9 with jardine, open air box & breather mod. I'm currently running a race map with modified decel fuel correction and it seems to be pretty good power wise but i think i can get more out of it. BTW i'm only experiencing a decel pop on hard decel and its at about 1200-1500rpm I know this has been tuned out by someone, whats the trick?

Just because they have a map for the same set up doesn't mean it will work for you. You have other equation to figure in like climate, elevation, etc... The only way to get the perfect map is to do a custom map. Log rides. There is also a site sponsor Tuniversity that can help you out or search the threads plenty of info there too.

Also you will never get rid of all the decal popping.

I understand the variables in a tune, i have tuned mega squirt before. But i keep hearing this "you will never get rid of all the decel pop" stuff but prior to open air box & loading a race map i didn't have any... sooooo what gives? I loaded a race map & tried a custom map both had a significant hp gain, both had the same decel pop. Also i had a open air box installed and it made the torque i had before almost disappear, i re installed the air box and it rode like it did previously, except now i still have a decel pop. :( I put about 2000 miles on the muffler from new, i'm thinking a repack might help out. any suggestions?

Jardine pipes on these bikes are pretty notorious for that pop. There was a torque fix that someone posted up a long time ago but I don't think they did much about the pop without changing the mapping for how fast the cut off is when you let off throttle. I read about someone adding in fuel to that range which killed the popping, but I don't remember exactly how.

Send me a message, I have a map that would be very close to get you started. It's your exact setup so it would be a start.

Reflashed race map and changed decel fuel correction to 120% seems to have helped a lot but still lacking power. Afv is 108 so i am still missing some fuel.

I run the stock map with a Jardine and K&N filter. Works fine. No open air box though, that's pry why it works okay
