well i found out that my rear cylinder has no compression what so ever and the cylinder walls are all scored up and ruined..now that has happened i want to do the 1200 kit(wanted to but now i have good reasoning!) i did a few searches for a piston ring and jug kit to do so but have not found a single kit. could you buell gooroo guys help me out?? thanks in advance!!

if you're going to do that you need to do the 1250 kit. The xb9 and xb12 use the same heads and jugs, so if you're trying to just swap jugs with a 12 you're wasting your effort.

However if you need a jug send me a pm, I have a set that are currently just nice to look at.

so they both use the same jugs? i thought the xb9 jugs didnt have enough meat to be bored to a 12? my understanding is that they both have the same stroke but the bores are larger? then how could a 9 use the same jugs as a 12 then? dont take my questions as sarcastic, they are honest questions. im new to buells so im learning.

Wolf is right. All the xb use the same top end, except pistons. The stroke is different. You can make a 1200 with a 9 crank but it's not a bolt on swap, lots of machine work. The xbrr was a short stroke big bore motor.

okay, from what ive been told before....im lost now. so heads are the same, jugs are the same, bore size is the same, stroke is different, cranks are different. yes?

9 pistons are domed for more compression with the shorter stroke to get the 10:1
12 pistons are flat topped and have a longer stroke.
They are swappable, the headers also have a different diameter, and the throttle body inlet is smaller on the 9
