i have an 03 xb9s and would like to know what all is involved in using xb12 cylinders and Pistons. I'm aware the stroke is longer in the 12 but are the crank or connecting rods compatible with the 9 bottom end? If so, where could I find one? Will the 12 connecting rods work on the 9 crank? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

This has never been done before so I doubt a quick google search would result in the answers to this.

Motors are same physically except crank asy (rods are pressed on crank) & pistons. outside the motor you have headers, ECM & intake differences.

I have 12 crank assy & pistons if you want to go bigger, it's all you need besides obviously new gaskets to get the larger motor. I have intake as well, maybe header & ECM as well

$150 12 crank 23k miles ran, had bad trans
$50 pistons
$150 header 12
$125 intake 12

Have to get ECM from somewhere

Im no longer running ecm or fuel injection, motor is in a bareknuckle frame...soo, split my bottom end, replace my crank with a 12 crank and obviously cylinders and pistons for 12?? Is it that simple? Thanks for the reply....my motor is tore down and i assumed my motor guy could get wut i needed

I believe the pistons pin sits lower in the 12 stuff. This will cause low compression problems.

I could be backwards on that and they sit higher.
