Hey guys,
I just got my 03 firebolt and I freakin love it but there are a few things I wanna change but have been looking around and dont really know what to think.
1) Do they make like a fender eliminator kit to flush mount the blinkers ad all? Ive looked but really havent found much, or is it better to just go with LED signals.
2) At night my normal head light doesn't seem very bright, could it be going out? My high beam is crazy and I feel kinda bad riding with it on because it is so bright.
3) Ive read a few things about getting brighter running and brake lights and looked around and about all i saw them for was around 200 bucks. Im in college and don't have that kinda money but would love to be more easily seen. Im kinda into that whole safe riding thing.

Anyways, really like the forum i just joined so im pretty excited.
Thanks for the help!

Check to see if you have the updated headlights. The original ones had a problem with the reflective material on the back of the light causing them to become dim. The new ones have nips on the center of the lens, if you can find a dealer that has a set of the updated lights they should give you the part for free and charge for labor, or you could just buy them and put them in yourself.

both of mine are completely smooth. I take it that means they are the old ones. Would the harley dealership have the new lights(like would that be the best bet)?

I would call around, it was a free update when buell was still in business but now the harley dealers cant get paid for the labor so you should will probably be better off just buying the part and doing the swap. I cant think who else would have them besides a harley shop that used to deal buells.

I bought an integrated tail light...removed the signals and plugged the wholes.

As too making your brake light brighter, I went to the auto parts house, bought a 8" flex LED strip for 18 bucks, Red by the way, which is actually 2-4" strips and stuck them to the saddle bag frames of my XT, wired them directly to the brake wiring, and could not believe how much brighter my brake light seemed, also gave it a bigger sight picture instead of about 8" of light, I now have about 2' of light on the back, I stopped by the same store yesterday and they had a 4 pack of LED STROBE PODS, white and super bright, I am in the process of deciding where to put them also connected to the brake lights, for more attention grabbing, use your imagination and look around you will see some inventive uses for those LED accent lights

Thats awesome, you have have a picture from strait on the back? and do you like the integrated tail light, ive seen some where the blinkers are just not very visible.

I don't have the integrated taillight just the stock Uly LED tail, if I can find them, I did a write-up on the installation for Motorcycle Riders Club of America, I'll see if I can post a link

I'll take a pic from the back and put it up for you tomorrow. I love the integrated tail light...and have no problems with the brightness. I am also putting flush mount blinkers on the front tonight. I'll snap a pic of that too if you are interested.

Yea they look really good, i really want to put one on, and that's exactly what i wanna do as well. I wanna flush mount my blinkers in front and get a integrated tail light or and LED tail light and somehow flush mount the back blinkers as well(that's if there's not an integrated tail light. Pics of both would be much appreciated, and where did u get your flush mount kit?

Here are some pics from the rear. I forgot to get a pic of the flush mounts in the front but I will at lunch. There are no flush mounts for a Buell that I could find anywhere but one of our fellow XB members told me about 07 R1 flush mounts and they worked perfect.

The flush mounts came from luckybike.com and the tail light from cyclecrucial both ebay stores
you wouldn't happen to have the part number for those flush-mount signals would you?

I cant find a part # but search this in ebay they were $24.95
