I honestly didn't pay much attention to it. I was pretty focused on the shattered piston and cylinder when I was there.

Yeah, there's only one xb9 engine that I can find for sale in Mexio. It cost $1350 and is in questionable condition. I might have to take the L on this one.....

Awesome trip! Any ideas why the motor let go? Did the fan quit, or 1,000 miles of low octane detonation?

Jeez, I REALLY wish that I knew. The fan is working fine, but I did have to fill up with 87 a couple of times because it was all they had. I did ride with the rattle for over 1,000 miles though.
