huh, no kidding, thanks for that link dave. might drop Al a note so see if that model LED is as tight a fit as the ones i tested. if they are, be careful, going back to incandescent might not work, they were SUPER tight fit, widening the whole in the circuit board every so slightly making a potential loose fit should you go back to incandescent. Al knows his stuff though.

always hated the weak, yellow-ish light emitted from the stockers. in case it helps anyone, here's a comparison i did a while back. never left them installed due to hot spots and the fit but Al has a great solution sanding the tip down.

different colors would be cool, which is what i was looking to test out.

I think he says you have to sand it down for the best fit. I was going to put them in when I redid my face, but it got here way soon than I expected. [up] for fast shipping.

I did read that discussion on the LED bulbs, not too excited about doing mods to the board or getting that "too focused" look from the lights...

I got mine a couple weeks ago I really love it. Did all the artwork myself...that was a pain in the a**, but totally worth it. Thought it would cool to have the soon to be commissioned F-35 "Lightning II" as the background.

Hello from Iraq. Just ordered a "proof" of my dash. Mr. Jack on a blood red background with the words "Naked & Dirty" underneath. I won't even see my new baby until I get stateside again in July 2010.
