So my Motion Pro REV2 throttle came in today. I took some measurements and was pretty damn satisfied with my shot in the dark. Without any confirmation I was guessing the XBS pull cable was around 35" in length. I did not have one to measure as I had some tom foolery of a previous owner repair. SO lets get into it!

I ordered the Motion Pro REV2 thottle kit pn: 01-2770 https://www.denniskirk.com/motion-pro/rev2-throttle-kit-01-2770.p1911259.prd/1911259.sku

The OE push cable measured length 35.5" from adjusting base to end.

The Motion Pro cables measured 37-1/8" & 38.5" I know they are long in comparison BUT with the new lay out may be just right.

AND THEY FIT THE BUTTERFLY

So tomorrow I am going to install these and will take tons of pictures as I go, they will be going directly in the stock routing. I will be using an EBR right hand control.

So I was able to install everything this morning. Have maybe 2 extra inches of cable. I'm still not happy with the routing that will tuck under the dash. But until I put the dash back together I am content. Everything moves free and smooth even if I hold the cables down where the dash will be. More to come.

Its hard to tell in the pics but it looks like this may be more at home on a XB-R?

If you decide to stick with this, it would seem like the extra length will work out to your advantage since the routing is now "over the top".

Hmm not sure I follow. They don't make a kit for the lightning and that's what this poor gal is.

XB-R (aka Firebolt) uses a different upper clamp with a built in bar (kind of like clip ons), along with a different fairing that may be more conducive to that setup... especially since its not being routed between the handlebar and the upper clamp like on a Lightning.

I was going to fit a Firebolt upper clamp to the methbuell (traded Cooter for a case of beer), but it was turning out to be more of a hassle than what it was wor

Ahhh now I follow what your putting down. I may try dirt bike style and run it outside the front windscreen

So I ended up pulling the cables back out and ignoring the plastic guide and went around it. It was causing the cables to bind. I Forgot to take pics before I put the windscreen back together. But the cables go over the dash now and work flawlessly!
