just got done talking to the guys at aerocharger and thinking about going with a turbo come tax time. the turbo for a xb9r runs $2050 out the door in case any one else is interested.

I emailed aerocharger as well their turbos seem great I also requested any info they have on the factory buell prototype products

No external oiling??? Holy crap, I want! Lets see then, some aluminum mandrel bent piping, some mandrel bent stainless, a tig welder, ECM Spy... anything else needed? Were they running any sort of charge air cooler or just running hot?

Hammer, I really agree with you. HD is doing the wrong thing. I don't know about the rest of you, but my next bike WAS going to be a Fat Bob. Now I think my retirement bike will be anything without an HD tag. 125 million spent to shut down Buell, that doesn't even begin to make up for the loss of our money in the next 40 years I intend to be riding. HD has nearly sealed its fate.

hey gear2078 get a victory they are pretty bad ass, A LOT more horsepower and torque and look custom out of the showroom! I'm trying to talk my dad into buying one instead of a HD

So, I don't know if anyone has talked about this guy who put the turbo on his XB, but I thought it was pretty amazing... Listen to that sucker spool up.. If the guy really wanted to entrepreneur he would go in business selling em. Anyway, thought I'd share to those who haven't seen this yet.

Acepilot79, I'd like to give Victory a chance since they are also an American V-twin and all. Unfortunately, if you do a little research you will find the same half a$$ed business practices. I actually know one of the guys that helped to design the first Victory concept bike. The engine was a stressed member(like the 1125) with a short wheelbase and tons of power with hardly any weight. Victory pretty much threw a patent on it and threw the bike in the back 80 to produce a more conventional bike cheaper. I'm not saying I wouldn't buy one because of it, more just venting on how often true genius engineering takes a back seat to some Fat Cat's business model.

Padave, I've been paying close attention to that man's turbo Buell for a while. It sounds awesome! I know he's gone through a couple different designs with it and a couple years ago I was putting serious thought into turboing my XB12. Current situations as they are, I found it more feasible to just buy an 1125... for now.

There's been a few nice turbo XB's shown on this board. Would be great to put a kit together.

This one looks like the air cleaner would hit when you turn left

Hey Gear2078, who is this guy and how do I get in touch with him. That is the most complete build I think I have ever seen. He really did his homework.
