I just got done chatting with Mike from Xopti Inside. If you don't know who he is, for a long time he tuned buells for only $100. Well stopped tuning, went back to school full time and is now working on a program that will autotune our 2003-2007(and some early 2008) XB bikes. He has been on christmas vacation and is working on this project, but has been getting frustrated because he's putting in so much time into a program with no sort of compensation at all. This is where you come in. Please go to his website, order a ECMspy cable, wireless connector or even better, donate to help the project. Mike is a great guy and he's been working way to hard lately. Please help out the development of this awesome new program. I'm really looking forward to having this valuable tool that will keep our bikes running tip top.

Here is a link to his site. Click on "buell store"

[up] to what Dave said.

It's important you guys help him out. He's also trying to build some free sheets for tuning on your own. There's a few of us helping him to the best of our abilities with the coding, but money certainly helps him pull it together faster.

hey dave, what would be considered an early build 2008 bike? (my 2008 is sept. 2007) sorry not trying to hijack. thanks

Ordered a cable through them and then my old laptop crashed along with ECMspy software.

Is there a way to get that software since ECMspy's website was shut down?

So does the 100$ I sent him for a custom tune (that I never got) count? :p

I haven't complained yet, because we started the process late in the year full knowing that he was getting out of the business. I'm just hoping that he will pick up where we left off one ND thaws out a bit.

I have to say though, this is awesome news from Mike, and I really hope he gets it up and running. That is the one thing about a true geek (I say "geek" with the most respect and admiration possible) is that they can never just completely walk away from a pet project. They may put it away for a while, but eventually the "bug" gets them again.

He will make good on that one that's for sure. He'll get back in the game after he's done with school. Hopefully by the time he's done, his software will be doing all of the tuning. And it will all be open source, multi platform :D

Thanks for the link Steve, I thought I was never going to see the downloadable software again after the whole site mishap a while back.

w00t w00t, 111 downloads in October, 142 in November, 97 so far in December.

I'm not worried, from what I hear he's a stand-up guy. I know the guy is busy, can't fault him for that.
