I'm sure this is not news to you guys but I was watching XR1200X videos and one had a Termignoni exhaust mounted high enough to where I could see a belt tension pully? Really? Wow, Harley Davidson might as well put a ZTL wheel and brake on that thing. Love the XR line but that little wheel seems like HD said "Ohhh my, here is a good idea we can take from that looser that (use to) feeds off of us and put it on our own product".

Went to harley to website to look at the wheels and the first thing i saw was
"The Latest, dark custom stripped down slung low"
I thought that was the name of a new bike but its just called the blackline.

And Im with you on the wheels i dont know if the 3 spoke wheel goes with the flow of that bike

XR1200X= Harley's 1/2 hearted lame attempt at something sporty. Too bad I can buy a new Triumph Street Triple and not only have a faster, lighter, better bike but also have a considerable amount of cash left in my pocket. How in the world they can justify an almost $12,000 pricetag for a Sportster with the suspension, brakes, and HP that it should have had 20 years ago is beyond me. Even with all of the "upgrades" it's still WAY down on power compared to other sport standards. The suspension looks nice (on paper) but w/ almost 600lb to handicap it I don't expect it to compare favorably to everything else on the market.

My local dealer let me ride one they have
on their demo fleet. Sales guy said no one
rides it (it only has a couple of kms on it).
It felt goofy and awkward to me.
Knees too close together, no power, poor
braking... Thanks for the ride but no thanks
to the XR.

I haven't ridden one yet, but looking at the specs I keep thinking "it should be 100 lbs lighter, have better cornering clearance, and another gallon of gas..." And then I walk to the garage and see my XB12Ss and say "oh yeah, they USED to have that..."
