Yellow 1125r what the?

Well i have been waiting for the local hd/buell dealership to get an 1125r in so i can trade my lightning in.. there website didnt show anything but it was nice so i just rode over.. They had a guy trade one in but havent taken it in yet due to him wanting new chrome on the harley he is getting so they had to order some stuff.. when i was there today they were putting the parts on.. so the buell should be there sometime this week if not today.. Heres wehre it gets tricky.. its an 08.. when looking up the vin it comes up yellow... I said there is no way unless its painted.. well the buell guy that does all the buell stuff said its YELLOW and looks very good.. Not painted.. the plastics are actually yellow.. Bike has 2100 miles and i accidently seen that they only gave him 4800.. so looks like ill be getting this pretty cheap.. hopefully around 5000.. anyone seen a yellow one.. and did the 08s have any black frames because the said it looks like a bumble bee because its yellow and black hmm what you guys think

the '08 1125 only came with black bodywork and diamond blue frame & wheels. either the guy had bodywork made in yellow or it's painted. i dunno[confused]

i havent seen it yet and the buell guy at the dealership said it wasnt painted..

Someone once said they did 160 on their XB also... It is hard for me to believe that it is all factory options. I have never seen a Yellow 1125 or a 08 with a black frame, unless it was painted.

BTW I know you are only reporting what you saw and heard, nothing against you.

yea i know i am confused too... 3 people there seen it and said it was black and yellow.. we will just have to see.. pry get it if it has some goodies and possibly trade plastics for some white ones.. or black but yellow would be cool.. sounds like it could be the only one..

I have never seen an 1125R that was yellow, or an '08 with a black frame....That is kinda how you can tell an '08 from the later years... very strange. Hopefully he actually has an 1125R and not an XB12R..

yea they said it wasnt a 12r i asked multiple times.. It was originally black but with 2 miles on it became yellow.. This is the original owner as well..21xx miles..

No they said its not painted its yellow plastics... With 2 miles on is when he bought it from the dealership he somehow came up with yellow plastics either from the dealership or somewhere else and was yellow when it left the dealership.. the buell guy said he remembers putting them on... back in 09

Unless it has yellow bodywork from a firebolt, and knows someone within buell to make him a one of a kind fairing and pod covers, those pieces are at least painted, unless he left those pieces black and just the tank and tail are yellow... IDK... Still seems a bit odd.

nope thats an 09 and the rear tail off the first one looks similar to the zx10r.... man my hear is pounding i hope its the first one

There is a good chance that the first one "Barracuda" is not going to be the bike that you are going to look at. I bet that Erik still has it or Harley does.
