I'm totally freaked as to how close that video is to Gran tourismo 4. I've done a few hundred laps on the PS2 and I knew exactly where that car was the whole lap. Very cool. Wayne

I'm fortunate enough to have driven the Nordschleife.

I've driven on quite a few racetracks, (I used to do track days with BMWCCA) but the Nurburgring is absolutely indescribable.

That video is insane to watch!

haha, yeah that's my favorite track on Tourist Trophy. If you guys haven't played that game, you should check it out. They've got an xb9s and xb9r you can ride.

Tourist Trophy On the ps2 still my favorite Bike Game, Handling is more realistic then any game available. graphics are a bit dated. has just about every bike available in 07, and i cant stress how good of a simulator it is. oh and fun fact, same deveoper as Gran turismo.

in gt5 with the race wheel i got 7'36.xxx in the Nissan GTR trying to beat the real life lap time of 7'26.70...then i stopped trying because i wanted a buell and sold the ps3 lol

I go to the Ring maybe 2 time a month during the summer months (20Euro a lap is expensive), its only a 1+15mins away from the Air Base I'm stationed at. For a motorcyclist its a bit scary when you have car flying past you @ 180+ and you're doing 100+ and the car still pass you like your standing still. Last summer I was going into turn #13 and a Ferrari F50GT Lemans racer almost killed me. For now on I will go during the weekdays when I take my Buell. The weekends are the coolest because all of the Ferrari, Lambo, Austin Martins, Ex: come out. If there are any other US Military (USAF, US Army ex stationed out here in Germany like myself. There is the Motorcycle of the Mass (Blessing of the Bikes) at the Nurburgring on the 10 Apr 2011 starting at 0900. My SQ Motorcycle group is heading up there so if anybody here locally whats to join us please PM me. J

@Dave I LOVE TOP GEAR UK!!! That show is the freaking best. I hate to say it but Top Gear US is kinda lame. They are trying too hard to be just like UK and most of their "test" are based on the UK ones with similar results.

Such a great track! I was there in 2007, rented a Race Prepped 1996 VW Golf and completed 3 laps.. The day ended with with Police and a flatbed trailer but all in all the best track experience of my life! [up]
