Hello everyone!! This is my second bike and first Buell and I am loving it! I have already made a few small changes.

-removed rear foot pegs (I never have a passenger)
-removed stickers on side air dams
-removed upper air box cover and gas cap surround
-built and installed quick seat release pins

I just ordered a Zero Gravity double bubble screen and can't wait for its arrival. Next will be an undertail tray to clean it up some more followed by a new softer seat!

The bike is used and has around 8000 miles on it and is still in pristine condition. I could go on and on about how much I love this bike but I think I will just go for a ride instead. Here are some mandatory pics! Oh and it was a birthday present from my wife!!!

congrats, welcome, and happy birthday. you better keep that wife of yours around. I keep hoping one day I will come home to that kind of a suprise.

you took the 10 pod decals off??
Wow everyone was trying to buy those when they came out.
Nice bike i am sure every time you ride it you will Love it a little more.
Recommended mod EBR ECM and a new pipe the Barker is the best bang for the buck.:)

Thanks all for the welcome! The decals I took off just said 1125 with a large black R. You can see them in the first picture. Being that I live about 15 minutes from Buells shop in Wisconsin the EBR ECM is on my list of parts to purchase. I like the Barker exhaust but am still not to sure on the sound of it. Of course I have not heard one in person yet which would be the ultimate deciding factor. As of right now I am a huge fan of the Keda RT4 system for looks and sound. For me the bike already makes enough power, I would just like to personalize it to my own style.

:D[up] i like its. with the pass pegs off and a tail tidy it will look like a real race bike, not saying that it dosen't already ;) congrats on the purchase, i bought the RT2 from Keda-Design, have fun and ride safe, these bikes are the SHIT.

i was just picking on you about the pod stickers your bike your choice.
If i had known your awsome wife was getting you one for your b day you could herd mine my cousin lives in Muskego.
I was there for home coming and a week before at EBR getting the Barker map dynoed.
Will have another video up in a few.
I like the ked with the dual outlet but he wasn't in full production when i found Barker.
Added Bonus i got to meet Tim Barker and see his shop(he is a couple hours from me here in Michigan)

Small world! I lived in Muskego for 5 years and actually ride through there quite often! Next time you are in town with the bike hit me up as an exhaust is currently a very future mod. I actually would love to order the Free spirit exhaust as I think it looks and sounds amazing but costs allot! That is a bonus to meet Tim Barker.

Nice bike! Welcome to the forum! I have one tip for u, put the inner air box cover back on. I had talked to EBR about this awhile back and Michael said u will lose lots of hp if removed. He said that all the race bikes in that class run a factory air box and it is designed to cut down on the turbulence of the air coming in. He said our airbox is good up to the 160 hp range. .02

red, isn't it a pressurized system too. not a forced air system, all the air is getting used because of pressure not ram air induction?

Cronce I asked him that as well and he started talking over my head about positive and negative air. The "Ram Air" or the snorkle is designed to take the cooler air from the low pressure area created by forks. But yes its not really a ram air system the way I understood it. He also said that all their bikes run factory air filters.

Bottom line was he said dont do it. HP loss

Trublnt what color is the rear spring? Did they change the color of the rear spring in 10? Also do the wheels have a smooth finish?

My rear spring is Blue and the wheels are smooth. Were previous wheels textured?

Seems like the air box lid removal is a topic of discussion. I have a friend that worked at Buell contacting Erik to see what his thoughts are. I only removed it based on some dyno results I had seen but will re-install it if need be.

09 wheels are textured and hard to clean. The 08-09 springs are red.

No I didnt mean to hijack ur thread. I wanted a 10 but the dealer said they werent going to get anymore so I settled for a 09.

Wonder what the spring rate difference is between the blue and red? I just asked Erik Buell the air box question on facebook so we will see what his answer is! Also wonder why the textured finish...hmmm looks like I may need to visit his shop sooner than later.

thanks red, i've heard of the air box losing power before, i'm leaving mine alone. just exhaust and ecm til i come across more money
