I found a local guy who is selling a box of various Ducati parts and in the box is a brembo caliper, amoung alot of other stuff.

Will this work for my hidden bracket mod that I am going to do soon. I already ordered a bracket. What else do I need with this style of caliper, (bolts ect)?? I have an 08'Ss.

JB,
All I know is that the hole's for the Bolt down pattern needs to be correct. I had one off ebay and it was the wrong one. There is a list somewhere on this forum that gives the product numbers that work with what years.

I have that list but we have no idea what this is. Is there a part no. somewhere on these things? I am nervous about buying a box of parts for $80 that could all be useless to me.

JD - Not sure if that will work with the fitting and bleeder sticking out the side. Here is a pic of mine. Notice the fitting and bleeder are positioned different.

That has crossed my mind as well. I am eyeballing it on my swingarm. If the bleeder hole is interchangable with the brake line hole and I can give the end of the existing brakeline a little more bend then it may work on the Ss. Otherwise I need to get a longer brake line.

If that is the case I might as well buy a new Brembo with the top bleeder and fitting and be done.

Any thoughts? Anyone done this with the style that I pictured?

I don't think that one will work, for two reasons: It would require a different fitting for the banjo bolt to mount up (since the feed is on the side toward the wheel), and the bleed fitting would be inconvenient at best, with it pointing in, rather than up. The correct ones are easy enough to find; I'd pass on that one. HTH.
