I just did a DIY heat blanket/sheild on my 12r and while I had the lower airbox off the bike I noiticed a small barbed fitting on the TB that had no cap or hose on it. Should there be anything on that fitting.......I should have taken pics but I didnt. any help would be awsome.

mine is open but ive asked this before and people said it should be plugged. its a connection for the evap can on california models that is apparently supposed to be plugged otherwise.

its shown with a plug in the manual

Some Throttle assemblys just have the vacuum stub sticking out. Some are solid. The bikes are[were]built for each state check to see if it even works at all w/ a guage. OR just plug the little sucker.[smirk]

mine works......I put a small rubber tube on it and blew on the hose.....the TB def has a small port drilled for it.

i find it hard to believe parts are different between states but it could be true. obviously they added parts to the CA but part interchangeability is too important for something like that. It doesnt make sense to supply different throttle bodies. I cant confirm this but I would assume all of them function.

I'll have to check mine when I get back in two months...

and just to double check - for non-cali models this is supposed to be capped correct. It's late and I still have a lab to write up...
