I am preparing to replace the front motor mount on my 2001 Lightning and need to know if I have to purge the fuel line or do something special before removing the fuel line. Any help with this would be great. Thanks

does it have a shut off valve? I'm not familiar with the tubers but if it does turn it to off and let it run til the line is purged.

Just unplug the fuel pump connector, and run the bike until it runs out of fuel, then there will be no pressure in the line.
You can then remove the line at the filter.
Just let the motor cool down before you remove the line. You will spill a little fuel.

Hey Williegoat. Thanks for confirming the process for me. I got a manual yesterday and that is what it said to do. Can't wait to get this done as it is the last of the big items to get her race ready
