I am getting ready to do a XB front end conversion on my S1. I am thinking of going the clip on route. Anybody using these? What brand are you using? Thoughts? Pics?

I tried vortex clip ons on my firebolt, but they were the riser type so they interfered with the fairing. I liked them, they felt great, but too much modding was required on the bolt so I took them off.

One down side is a different master cylinder is required. I have my 636 master cylinder still if you need it.

Really, I hadnt even thought that far (master cylinder). Thats the ones I have been looking at too is the Vortex.

I have my 636 master cylinder still if you need it.

I'll keep that in mind.[up]

edit: Did you go with the 7 degree or the 0?

-7 degrees.

The master cylinder is required for XB's because the box reservoir doesn't fit over the clip on hex bolts.

Another option is to look at 750 GSXR front ends 1998 thru 2003 will fit with no mods and the stock clip-ons are correct for your master and the clutch perch...You can find complete front ends with brake calipers for around $350-$500 on the net. Both Buell and Suzuki front ends are made by Showa...;)
