I just thought Id throw up a couple of pics of my bike. Will be getting some new base gaskets, front and rear brake pads, chain and sprocket soon. What are you guys running for ratios? Mine has chain conversion, may gear different for more low end torque. Also need to rattle can it, thinking metal flake black.

Oh yeah and it has got an xb front end. It sits so tall, is there a way to lower the ass end? Hate tiptoeing it around in parking lots and such. Sorry these cell pics are so shitty.

Wow nobody knows anything about either lowering them or gear ratios? Thanks for the feedback [down]

Don't know to much about the ratios on the older buells. Not to mention don't know many forum members with these either. I personally like them they are just harder to find in good shape. IMO I like the blue I wouldn't rattle it but it's your bike:D doesn't look like you have been on here for that long so welcome. Hope someone can answer your question.

To lower it you could try and find a m2L shock. I saw one on ebay recently, but you'll probably have to rebuild what every you find. You might be able to change out the front mount. For that to work though you would have to have the 16" shock now and use the mount for a 14" shock.
I'm new to tubers so don't take my work as 100% correct.

Matt

Thanks for the replies. I suppose I will just stick to my current gear ratio, wasnt sure if there were some common sizes used when converting to chain or something. I was afraid of that about the shock, doesnt sound like any easy way to drop her an inch or two.
The blue is kinda nice, just not really my style, plus it used to be orange, some of it is worn off on the front fender, just that its not like a mint stocker ya know.
