My 2003 xbr and i were in an accident two weeks ago and its totaled. Dilema i have is whether or not to salvage her or let her go. such an emotional attachment but maybe i should try a lightning or ulysses...? i love my xbr and they'll give me more than blue book. or i can keep it and get some cash plus hope the law suit pays out..what to do?

anyone have to choose before? plus do ya think id enjoy a lightning or ulysses better? i really like the look of the ulysses but i just have such an emotional attachment to my xbr!

(plus finding a nice new one is SO hard!)

How bad off is the bike? Its a personal decision really. A lot of people told me to part out mine after catastrophic engine failure but I couldn't part with it. But I would lose it for an 1125r, so if you really want a ulysses go for it. Its nearly impossible to be rational about these things.

I got into a wreck on mine and the insurance company totaled it out. I bought it back, fixed it up and am still riding it! You have to take into consideration how bad the damage is. If its something you can and are willing to fix. Just things you have to weigh. I personally never plan to give mine up. Look to get a lightning at some point to though! :D

I'd get the check from them, And buy the totaled bike back(hopefully for a good price) and rebuild it while also buying a new one
