I went to The Ridge Motorsports Park yesterday for a track day.

Had a great time the first couple of sessions, then I got too cocky and came in too hot on the last section and lowsided. The bike and I slid across 50 feet of pavement and then ended up in the dirt.

Im ok, a tiny spot of rash on my elbow and a stiff neck. The bike just got some cosmetic damage, the 5-0dro sliders saved my forks and most of the swingarm was untouched. The best investment for the bike was the EBR case covers, the left one ground down to almost nothing but not a scratch to the engine!

My Shoei Qwest is toast, but I think it held up pretty well for how fast I was going and how hard I hit. I was wearing a Cycle Gear Bilt track suit that held up just fine and can still be used, I just need to get the left arm zipper fixed.

whoops. well the scars on the leather look pretty cool. Looks like u've master crashing, which im told is nearly as important as riding when it comes to racing. Glad ur OK

Glad yer relatively unscathed. The lack of damage to your bike is impressive. Crash protection pays off.

Reading the title I was expecting a horror story. Glad this one had a happy ending . I was looking at that track suit on the cycle gear magazine today actually, I'll take this as an excellent review of it.

Glad you ok, seriously that was the best possible outcome. Hope your back at the track soon!

Sux, glad your ok. That track looks awesome. Big elevation changes.. what we don't have down here. So was it turn 13?

Looks like the left side peg survived the LS, what pegs are those?

[smirk] Ordering case covers now...

Crash protection pays off.
Yes it does!

I'll take this as an excellent review of it.
It held together pretty well, I'm still going to use it.

So was it turn 13?
Yeah, I tried taking it in second gear. I was a little too fast and I leaned into the turn a little too soon so I went wide coming out of it and just layed it down trying to make it work.

what pegs are those?
The foot pegs are the LSL pegs from ASB. Shifter peg is home made.

I hope I'm that lucky when I wreck. It's going to happen sooner or later. I am going to look into that track suit, is it one or two piece?

Sucks man, but glad your ok and that the bike is also. You'll be out sooner than you know it. :)
