Ok i ended up with an old Ford 195 gardern tractor. I havent actually hauled it home yet, but im goin thru plans to restore it all ready. My question is if ne of you guys know ne thing about garden tractors and what there worth. (i tried a garden tractor forum but not too helpful)

Is this like a real tractor or a little mini tractor "lawn mower"? If it's a little garden riding lawn mower don't be surprised that it's pretty much worth nothing even restored. A brand new bolens from home depot/lowes cost like $750. Not heavy duty but works for small yards/typical home owners.

If it's a real tractor, and restored, it'll be worth the time to do it.

You got some pics? There's a couple of people here around where I'm from that do this restoring. It's worth the money. The hard part is finding someone that feels they need it. Me personally I would restore it, keep it and haul people in parades and hay rides at the fair with it. People love that kind of stuff.

This isnt the actual one i have but this is what they look like. Its pretty damn big over 18" rear wheels, its gotta hydrolic three point on the rear, and a hydrostat tranny with a high/low gear box ahead of it. Its gotta big Kohler twin cylinder init.

Oh! Yes that may be worth the time. I was thinking of a little put put thing lol.

I'm kind of excited about it. I'll have to fight myself from sanding and buffing the paint and making it look too good, but it'll be nice to paint somethin other than a chavy pickup for a change.:D

EDIT: CHEVY NOT CHAVY

Left work a lil early 2day and hauled it home pics soon. I just realized it has power steering when i was loading it, this things kinda cool!

Looks pretty cool! Looks like it has ram air too :) It reminds me of the old AMC red white and blue muscle cars...

Come on man tractor drags think of the possibilities put 351 in that thing with some 6' wheelie bars and a tremec 600 he'll yeah then you'll be cookin with dynomite lol

Nice tractor wouldn't mind having that myself.

Gotta put a chevy  engine in it else it'll leak oil for the rest of it's life

Yeah but he wants it to run! Not collect dust:p

[up]exactly!

It runs pretty well now. I'm not goin to do much mechanically to it except fix a few small oil leaks, change the fluid, and clean up some of the scabbed together wiring repairs. I used it to grade the gravel in the back drive. It did ok but that blade is kinda junky. I need to go to the local Kabota dealer and see what attachments they have their small tractors. I dont think ill be able to find much original ford/jacobson stuff. I also found a few stats on it online:

Built 1978-1980
Distributed By Ford
Manufactured by Jacobson
897cc Kohler imposed twin
19.9 horse power
Weight:1125lbs
