Doing what I normally do: passing along info on deals on cameras.

REI is having their anniversary sale starting on the 18th. The GoPro Hero2 with LCD BacPack is going to be $299.99, which is a pretty good deal.

Just a head's up to anyone who's looking.

I need to get just the LCD for my GoPro I have, no real reason to up it to the Hero2 but the LCD would be nice.

Could always buy the package, keep the Bacpack, and sell off the camera. Could probably get an even bigger savings on the BacPack alone, then.

RJ: not sure what the differences are. I don't have any of these cameras. They just pop up in my newsfeed from time to time.

Whats the difference between the 2 & 1?

Basically higher MP photos, and better video quality. There are some great side by side comparisons on youtube. Colors are more vivid, and adjustments are quicker when changing lighting situations.
