Hi!

I got a Buell XB12S Lightning (07) and I'm on my way to paint some grey pieces to black. But I've been stuck for a while at the front, I can't seem to get it loose. I've loosen the two nuts that is marked individually, while the 2 for the keylockthing are blocked with pins in the holes for the tool. Anyway, the two that is marked individually seem to be the only nuts that holds the front to the frame, but still the front isn't shaking even the slightest? Any advice, have I missed something?

^ oh9bolt is correct on the security torx. Just put my front end back on yesterday. I used a security torx bit and ratchet with 6" extension so you keep ratchet handle outside the headlight modules you're looking to paint. Just need to torque it.

It alomst looks like you have lock washers behind the bolts, plus if they've probably got loctite as well so just yank on it.

The quick shade tree way to get the security torx's off is... remove speedo and head light. Move the wire loop to the right side (facing the bike) use small flat nose vice grips, clamp on the head turn it a quarter turn. Then use a small stranded screw driver stick it in between the star and dowel pin and screw it out.

: don't try it if you have crappy Taiwanese vice grips. You'll just round the edge of the bolt or pinch your palm.
