Just the 'old' guys need ear plugs! No...the Jardine does bark. Unlike some guys, my Jardine has been VERY reliable. I myself have almost 30k miles on it, plus whatever PO had on it. (But...I don't wear earplugs!). I AM working on saving enough to get one of Deans full exhaust though. I look at the pictures all the time!! :D

I hate my Bomberfab Front Exit, its loud, it can be felt on the third level of my townhouse, it pops, it makes a cloud of dirt if the ground isnt clean. :p

Loving my Torque Hammer II! [up]

Not as loud as some others mentioned (we have data on this that will be released soon) but has a great bark to it and performs exceptionally well. All stainless and includes a db killer, chin brackets and a FREE MAP for 03-07 models.

I just picked up a drummer, it is super deep and smooth and the build quality is top notch. I had a hawk on my last one and it was a bit more tinny, but still nice.

I currently have a stock 12 muffler with the valve wired open and it's pretty mild but loud enough to sound decent. I had a gutted muffler before and it was way too loud, it hurt my ears bad and gave me headaches(no exaggeration). I heard sandro's torque hammer last week it sounded great. Loud but not overly loud. Drummer's sound great too. I don't believe I've seen a hawk in person.

why do you have to torment me like this, ricky?????????

I, in NO way, mentioned your name or otherwise insinuated that I was speaking of you!! But, hey...if the shoe fits?!! LOL! :D:)

Force full system. Definitely a hole between 2k and 3k rpm but the mid range and top end is ridiculous once tuned properly. Plus my bike sounds like a nascar [cool]

I have a hawk and its not bad after i cut it apart to reweld the parts that fell off on the inside. And repainted before the first install because the paint was packaged wet and all the packing material stuck to it. It seems like people think he provides a custom map for the pipe. To my knowledge he will give you the race map(maybe that has changed recently) which is not optimized for that exhaust. Ive been doing some tuning on mine lately and have found noticeable butt dyno power.

I second the TorqueHammer II. If you want a good quality muffler (I'd say better than anything other than Dean's stuff), and exceptional tone quality... go with this pipe. 5-0 and have talked about it at length. I'd liken it to an exotic Italian V-12 minus 10 cylinders. It retains the low chest-thumping sub-sonic thing at idle and is a LOT quieter at idle than most... let's say its about like a race can at idle but with completely different sound.

But when you rip into the throttle it takes on a very satisfying snarl. My Hawk was great for a while but just too damn loud for my riding preferences. The TorqueHammer II has infinitely better build quality and better *sound*. I've never heard a Dean Adams muffler in person so I can't really speak on that but I think at this point the aftermarket muffler game is between the TH II and a pipe from Dean. Dean has an excellent rep and from the pictures I've seen his skills are well worth the price point. But I also believe his pipe to be too loud for my tastes. YMMV - but you can't really go wrong with either one!

As far as Hawk... I can't recommend that pipe at this point because it isn't in the same... tier... as the others. It is cheap and loud.

Well said lousexcelle! [up] Got to meet Dean in person last week and see his exhaust (only heard the 1125 versions but saw the 1190 prototype too :p ) and I can attest that they are quality made as well. Different strokes I suppose... Different yet both equally awesome! [up]

I have a carbon fiber jardine on my xb12 with 9 primary and its pretty awesome. Not as loud as my custom pipe I had on. no loss of low end torque and power as some may Mention. Over 4k, you better hang on tight! Of course this is with a custom tune

Gonna catch hell for this but I like my aluminum Jardine. I removed the Jardine stickers and polished it before installing(and having the heat melt the sticker glue on). I have repacked it once with FMF blanket material and put heavier screen mesh inside. Also included a 1 3/4" collector reducer. Using the EBR ecm for the K&N with the RT-1. Very pleased with sound and looks. I got my RT-1 for $225.00 new(if I remember correctly). Hey I forget easy I'm 62! When my 12R hits 4 grand HOLD ON ! I have seen where people complained about the RT-1 coming apart buy when I have seen photo's of this its apparent that a lot of the owners rag their equipment. Proper maintenance is the key. Hint, sometimes get off your fat ass and look at the stuff on your bike that you normally don't see. End of rant.
