Took them a few years, but Arlen Ness is finally ripping off Buell:

Sort of... But it still uses the hub, as the whole assembly is just a rotor carrier - so you don't get the benefits of a lighter hub.

.... Doesnt seem like a very good idea at all. A big point of the ztl brake was how big the rotor was (entire wheel perimiter) but this thing shrunk the entire assembly to about half size!

17" wheel 53.4" circumference being generous and calling that brake system 10" gives it 31.4". thats 22" of brake system missing!

Just rough figures and speculation but I dont think its too far off. (not near a buell to do actual measurements)

Adding weight everywhere except for your pocket! Did you see the price for that POS $1500.00

The key benefit of the ztl braking isn't really the weight savings(although that is a benefit). It's the fact that the braking forces are not transferred to the center of the wheel, they are transferred to the outer edge of the wheel giving more stopping force. So this which is posted above is pointless, and like said only adds weight. F^F like kona said.

This gaudy accessory is in keeping with most of the hideous bikes Arlen Ness builds, but considering that crowd is quite anal about keeping their bikes spotless, this farkle looks pretty difficult to keep clean!
