    My first 99 x1

It could be an electrical issue or something with the ignition. My S3 just died on me last tuesday, blown fuse but turns out the PO wired it wrong so the ignition was wired into the accessories circuit. Nice looking bike, hope you get the issue figured out.

    Oil types

I need to change the oil in my buell and have researched it a bit, think I will probably go with shell rotella T6 which I just put in my shadow. My question is do most of you just use the same thing in the primary? or something else? Thanks

    Sawing off Swingarm

Thanks joe, it is a 97 buell thunderbolt. That ASB kit will be around 150 bucks more than buying parts separately. I cant tell how that EBR chain rub piece works, maybe just bolts right to swingarm? Will try that if my mx roller doesnt work.

    97 Thunderbolt oil leaks

Just replaced all gaskets- engine, valves etc all in good shape. Hopefully this fixes the leaks, bike is still awaiting new sprockets and chain.

    Sawing off Swingarm

So one of the previous owners of my bike must have been a real fricken dumbshit cuz they did a chain conversion without putting in any sort of roller and unbeknownst to me the chain has been sawing right into the swingarm. It was difficult to tell before as the place where it rubs is behind the...

    97 Thunderbolt oil leaks

Good they did work. The pipes are right in the way of where the oil is pooling. Its coming out of the bottom of my air filter and from the rods in front of the rear cylinder for sure. Where else, Im not sure.

    Debating on a Blast

That whole deal with crushing blasts into cubes with that ad just disgusts me and it is offensive that anyone would do that to thier own product. I have a tuber currently and my girl has a blast which Ive ridden plenty and is a fun little bike. All about personal preference, but that add pisses...

Got a screaming eagle on mine, I dont know if its the best by any means, but I personally dont like the look of the forcewinder style snorkels pointing forward like some wierd horn. Think alot of peole on here use them though...

    97 Thunderbolt

Thanks for the replies. I suppose I will just stick to my current gear ratio, wasnt sure if there were some common sizes used when converting to chain or something. I was afraid of that about the shock, doesnt sound like any easy way to drop her an inch or two. The blue is kinda nice, just not...
