Loud pipes save lives?
The guy who hit me head on last month certainly didn't hear me. Seems to me that much of the sound is projected rearwards. The people behind me and on my sides hear me I'd wager but not so much in front. Really gets people's attention when you rev it real good though. I love making people drop... -

Got hit yesterday morning going through an intersection. The car made a left turn right as I got to him. I came off the bike, flipped over, landed, and slid to a stop. Tried to stand but my left leg was jacked so I crawled out of the street. Broken left foot and huge chunk of my left thigh... -

Jackets
I live in arizona as well and have been wearing a Dainese Laguna Seca textile jacket for over a year now. With the vents open and liner out its cool enough in the summer. Its warm enough for our winters here with the liner in and a base layer underneath. Its not water proof but I love it so far. -

My clutch cable broke...
This just happened to me last Wednesday :( I was also very concerned it was the common primary cover issue but luckily the cable broke right where it hooks into the clutch lever. Just received my new cable last night. Yay!- DesertDog

fork oil change
I put off rebuilding the forks on my old yamaha for a long time. Finally last month I figured I would give it a shot. There were a few issues due to the age of the bike but it wasn't nearly as hard as I expected. The caps at the top of the fork were so rusted in place it took a week of soaking...- DesertDog
