    Dan at hammer has been great. I've got cases bored to 4.015, and I'm going for a 1170 kit. 9 crank, and the big bore kit from hammer. Dan does land speed on tubers as mentioned. He also has an XBRR.

    I stand corrected, the 9SX was made all the way to 10. Only the 9R was ended in 07. So... did the later model XB9SX have the larger bearings like the 12's and the cam driven oil pump?? Anyone?

    I'm anticipating being at Ft. Sill real soon. I'm about to leave Afghanistan, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have shoulder surgery. I'll be coming thru Bliss on the way home, but if surgery is immanent, I'm going to request Sill to have it done.

    rear axle installed too deep?

    really... wow, never heard of this. As said above, if you rear axle spacer is even installed, some how it failed and crushed... However, that should have taken A LOT more than 43ftlbs to do...
