i've read u just tighten them hand tight into the head then when tighting the nuts and flange down it will tighten itself into the head to what it needs to be?! also do u put anything on the threads? any help appreciated!?

Soooooooooo awhile back ago my muffler flange that goes over header collector was basically cracked all the way around. got that fixed few weeks later header pipe cracks all the way around leaving me with the front header tube as one piece and the rear header tube and collector has another...

well just started tear'n apart everything. go to take muffler off... the bracket that's bolted to the engine that holds the front of the muffler on... isn't bolted there anymore. the bolt COMPLETELY snapped off both ends... just had the middle piece in the hole. go to take the back off... BOTH...

thanks guys. i think what happened is when my muffler was welded back it made it stiffer and maybe a lil tweaked in the wrong way so then from all the vibrations it went to the next weakest spot... and possibly thats why it cracked my header!? idk everything seems to be tightened right. quesiton...

so i been noticing more noise from my bike past couple days. finally tonight i got down to look at muffler and bam right in the face could feel air puffing at me... looked up and right where the front header goes into the collector the pipe is just completely cracked right on the weld. clean...

got the ECM off ebay. guy said it was for 03-04 XB9. the number on the race ecm reads 32801-02Y. ya i'm pretty pissed off if the previous dude sold me a junk ecm. was gonna call harley and ask if the part number works with my bike just to make sure. o and also i have a 03 XB9S. you guys know...

Bought and installed race ecm this weekend... install it and turn key on, then engine light comes on then goes off like normal wait 5 more seconds and light comes back on again. go to start the bike and bike runs poor with the engine light still on. ran a code reading and says EEPROM failure...

read the code off the race ecm says EEPROM Failure... did they forget to send the vaseline with when they sent my Race ECM!? hooked up old ecm did a tps reset and she runs perfect. and now no engine light too.

u can adjust ur idle when the bike not running?

just installed race kit on my 03 xb9s... got ecmspy hooked up right now. reset tps adjust screw to 5% got to start bike idles at 900 keep turning idle screw in and won't go any further... also my red engine light is on now while the bike is running....... what do i do???
