    Feeler: 99 x1 Project/As-Is/Parts

UPDATE: I am looking to get $2400 for the bike but I am now including a set of cylinder and pistons with 7800 miles and a new top end kit and new spark plugs all of which cost me an extra $450. I will not have any time to get it back together since I am starting police academy and dont want the...

    Feeler: 99 x1 Project/As-Is/Parts

Forced to sell my 99 x1 with 26k because the bike developed a smoking issue from the rear cylinder which destroyed the cylinder wall and piston. I would like to sell the bike as is but if I get enough interest for parts then I might consider parting it out. Bikes in Sacramento, CA and I can help...

    Sacramento Ca Buell owners unite

I'll be down to ride in a few weeks. My valve seals crapped out on a trip back from Monterrey so I'm pulling the motor to replace them and anything else that can be done while I'm at it. I'll hit you up when I'm done Francisco.

    Buell X1 Project (Raging Bull)

So here is an update on the bike. I got a vrod headlight, made a custom gauge dashboard, flyscreen, painted subframe black, new led strip tail light, breather routed using asb kit and custom catch can.

Doesnt seem like there is alot of sacramento action for buells on this website but I definately have seen quite a few bikes in sac. I have an x1, my brother has an xb9s and a buddy has an xb12ss so were down to ride if anyone wants to meet up. Preferrably on weekends.

    X1 with new vrod headlight

Your bike looks nice. I feel like the headlight needs to be just a little bit lower, but that's just my preference.

    X1 with new vrod headlight

NewmanS3- I use photobucket to upload the pics and then you can use the "Links to share this photo" section and copy/paste the "IMG" code into the forum box. Photobucket creates extra code so all you want is the two

    X1 with new vrod headlight

Its from an old wind screen that I cut down which I believe is made from lexan. To mount it I used a leftover fork clamps and made the bars that hold the screen out of 16 gauge steel. I am still planning to paint the mounts, and screws all black to not stand out so much.

    X1 with new vrod headlight

So here is the finished setup for those that arent on badweb. Custom made gauge dashboard, cowl and clamps.

    X1 with new vrod headlight

I finally got my new and last headlight setup. I really love the way it compliments the stance of the bike. I am still planning to make a new dash for the gauges to make them more compact and to make a small fairing to tidy up the front end.

    Wtb x1 parts

I have an after market extended flyscreen for some long trips that I wont be using. Or you can get some plexiglass from home depot and make your own like I did with mine. I played with some shapes on cardboard then traced it onto the plexiglass and used a angle grinder with cut off disc to cut...

    Buell X1 Project (Raging Bull)

So I took a stab at making a front fairing this weekend out of plexiglass to see if I liked the look and fit. If it grows on me then I might make a new one out of some thicker plexiglass. Let me know what you think.

Custom Led Headlight- need electrician guru's

That's what rah7777777 said to do, just double them up and have single for low beam and both for high beam. @cooter: I might do some auxiliary lights for long distance lighting.

Looking for blunt, no BS feedback

I have purchased parts for my xb12ss before but there isn't as big of a variety in tuber parts. Also their are more accessories available through eBay.

Custom Led Headlight- need electrician guru's

Ok so i finally got a night shot in with high and low beam. The phone camera doesnt give it justice in brightness or the difference between high and low beam but I like it and would say its definately an upgrade. I am still planning to go out in my car and have someone ride behind me to check...

Custom Led Headlight- need electrician guru's

So here it is all wired up and in its final location. Next thing to do is to dome some long term tests and make a new fairing the fits the style of headlight a little better.
