03' XB9 stalls after filling

I just gave my bike a 10k tune up - took it to the pump station fill it with fuel - and after starting, the engine light came on, and when I released the clutch it would stall. I rolled it out of the pump station and it seemed fine after that... any ideas?

Give it more throttle?

Sounds like regulator is going out. 03-07 XB's had a flat-pin style regulator connector. 08's and up were upgraded with a round pin style regulator connector.
