06 Firebolt Seat Too Slippery

Whenever I ride with my leather pants (Alpinestars GP Plus) my ass slides all around on the seat. My arms and legs actually get fatigued from trying to keep the rest of my body in place. This is of course detrimental to my riding.

When I wear jeans, everything is good. I can stay planted when I need to and can shift over on turns with no problems.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

I noticed the 05 and newer seats have a different texture...would these possible be less slippery?

My Ninja's seat is some kind of woven material. I wear riding jeans, not leathers, but I can feel the difference in grip between that seat and my Firebolt's vinyl seat, for sure. The woven material also doesn't get nearly as hot as the vinyl. I'm thinking that I might get the 'bolt's seat reupholstered in something woven. I think any automobile upholstery shop should be able to do that. Maybe another option for you...

I'm no expert on leather, but also think along the lines of treatment to the seat of the leather pants, to make them less slippery...scuffing to de-gloss the finish without ruining it...remove the slippery finish on the seat of the pants and apply a less-slippery finish....

I appreciate the feedback. That little triboseat thing is interesting, cheap...and it might do the trick. I'm going to mull it over.

Has anyone else used the Triboseat? I just picked up a stock xbs seat so I have a little more padding for longer rides since I've got the low seat already. I can barely get on the throttle with the stock seat or I start to slide back.
