OK, so another question. I called an HD dealership, and they have access to both the 08 & 09 Stator. I had an 09 Stator installed about 1500 miles ago, which is working, but I am going to get the EBR rotor mod, and thought it would probably be best to also get a Stator to put in at the time of installation. Concensus seems to be to go with the 08 stator from what I read from members, and if I do this what if any difference should i expect from the lower voltage output. Is this the way to go (08 stator) or am I overdoing it? The thing is DAMN expensive - $713.52 + tax....OUCH!

08 stator will not fit in a 09 rotor but im told EBR rotor will save us all[smirk]Hoping

I thought the rotor was just modified to allow oil to spray on the stator. If this is the case & the 08 stator does not fit, how would the EBR mod work? I thought they were built from the cores they get.

The 08 stator has a small diameter. The magnets have to be close. Theres just to much distance between the two. Plus the phases will not line up. Very important.

Should I replace it with a new one when the mod goes in, or do you believe I should move forward with the one with 1500mi on it? Will it make a difference?

It could...depends on how much or if its even damaged. I have one to replace mine with when i change if i do.....i live in alaska so the temps here arent bad plus i dont sit at lights.
Id say no.....if you add the new rotor soon.
