Hey,the other day I got back from an epic ride. College station, tx to memphis, tn and back...on my firebolt. I left at 9:00 pm and rode through the night, making it there in 11.5 hrs. I was sour to say the least. My biggest worries before hand were for my neck, but I should have been more worried about my back. After a few days of taking easy rides around memphis and shooting some video, I did it all over again on the way back, except...I hit some VERY extreme weather from hurricane alex. It was nuts, wind, heavy rain, running water across roads, even hail. It was an awesome experience. To be honest, i was not nearly as sore as I thought I would be touring on a firebolt. After a day or two on each end I didn't feel any pain. The scariest parts were the washes across the road and the few times I had to check to make sure the hail hadn't cracked the faceshield on my helmet.
PS memphis, you need to step your buell game up!!! haha. I only saw two buells in 4 days. a yellow uly and a black 08 1125r. I was fortunate enough to talk to the 1125r guy and his girl. They were awesome!
