When THE WORLD's FASTEST production bike ever (1999 Suzuki Hayabusa) came out, that is when I said, "this is my dream bike. If you said I could have any bike in the world, this is the one. I have to have one of those". I kept that dream, and it finally happened in '02. I got a low-mileage '01. Been loving that bike ever since. It has been an excellent bike to me. Very reliable. I still get looks and complements on it just about every time I ride it! I've put over 60K miles on it. Have done a lot of things to it, little by little, over the years. Nothing silly like extented swing arm and fat tire (but that's cool if that's your thing). One of the first things I did to it is install the module that eliminates the top speed restriction that was incorporated from the '01 on. The power of that bike is so fun. If you have never spent any time on one, you don't know what I'm talking about. So addictive. And the speed. 100 mph is like just an easy cruise along. It's like the more throttle you give it, the more it wants....the faster it goes, the faster it WANTS to go....like the power is effortless and almost like it is infinate. I do love my XB too, but they are two different animals.
