Howdy,

I'm new to this forum, my apologies if this question has been ask before...
Can a 1125CR's front fairing & headlight assymbly be mounted on a XB9SX?

Just bought myself a 2005 CityX, looking to do some cosmetic changes to the stock look.

Thanks... Nick

Swap the top triple and bars, the light mounts to the CR top triple or you could probably use the lightnings mounting locations for the modules and make a simple adapter for the light to mount directly to.

The cr light also has some stabilizers attached to the bottom to make it move around less that slot into the CR bottom triple, by making a mount to work off of the lightning triples you could keep the stabilizers. You would also be able to keep the lightning ignition and work a mount for the gauges into the cr light adapter.

The wiring for the lights is super simple.

I put the cr top triple on mine and drilled holes in my lower triple for the stabilizers and it worked just fine for me, but others have stated that the cr top triple is not compatible without swapping the lower triple (it apparently causes the forks to be slightly less than parallel). I also attached my gauges to the plastic CR gauge plate.

I drilled holes in the bottom triple. That's the way its done on the CR. For the top, a simple L-bracket on each side with drilled and tapped holes holds the headlight on fine.

The gauges and ignition will require some rethinking. Here's how one of my bikes looked with the CR headlight and XB dash

I currently use an M-Lock for the ignition, Garmin 660LM motorcycle gps, LED tach.

There's all kinds of options out there for gauges though.

Take a look at some of the mounting methods in my profile pics. Maybe it'll give you some ideas.
