a black cr with a lightning seat is the sweetest bike i have ever seen it just looks hooligan DAMMMM!!![up][up][mad][up][up]

wow they ruined a nice cr im not gona lie that is deffinetley the ugliest buell ever. that round headlite and the scoop look stupid

I agree...the headlight is what makes a CR. The M2 headlight doesnt look right IMO.

To each their own though. I guess thats what makes Buells and the owners so unique. [up]

Agree also, but I would like a different widescreen not a huge fan of the bland stocker.

Here is my little shop to the above shopped bike, tried to add the frame in all the way, chopped exhaust, touch up the tail (I would go with an S tail) and an actual radiator location.

drew what is that bike from? is the lower chin part of the scoops? thats what it looks like. i would get a 1125 and do that scoop setup to it. imo it looks a lot better

Drews pic is a photoshop, no such fairing kit is available.
One of the European aftermarket companies makes a sweet CR fairing kit that is similar. I believe its solobuell. I am too sick and lazy right now to look it up, sorry [sad]

Also Lunatic, it is not a direct swap, the bottom mounts line up, but the top edges needs to be shaved to increase the angle of the tail, and the top left is way off. The top right is close, but not quite.

I know, I put a Uly tail on my 08R and did a CR front end swap.
Someone by the name of Texas something has a post about it, and I did my best to give him advice.

You will need some machining capabilities, or some decent fab skills to get it done. Also the rear shock is off to the right of the bike, so the undertail needs to be modified.

Here are some pics of mine, mock up and where I stand now. I still need to get the tail painted.

Toss the exhaust and you are set. Thats my only grip with them. Ugly ass exhaust.

I kinda like the CR as is... minus the mirrors. that red one above is pretty sweet looking IMHO

Loki, not sure if you are speaking about my bike, but I do haves Barker on now(again)

Two guns, are you talking about my bike? Not sure what you mean by heatsink?

its the metal box in teh wiring that was attached to the CR subframe and was to disperse the ehat to teh frame. regulator or something... but we call it hte heat sink. you would have needed to relocate that to some part of your S frame or something. just curious of the solution?

Ahh the regulator! That's what I call it!

I relocated it behind the battery. That was the one item that I had to modify besides the tail/signal wiring. I had to lengthen the 3 wires coming from the stator.

The components were mounted like this front to back

Starting solenoid-------battery
Fuse box------------------
relay box-----------------regulator

Plenty of room in the uly tail. Should be plenty in the s or ss tail as well.

there is not plenty in the S tail. very compact. with all that wiring. i have already looked at it. and decided not to go there just yet. didnt like the idea of modding my wiring.

I suppose, I only have experience with the ss tail. Modding the wiring isn't that bad. There are only 4 components in there. The hard part is getting the tail to fit!
