people really know how to ruin a good looking bike the xb tails make it look to short it seems like the tail end is 2 open like a dirt bike or something

i think it would look perfect if the radiator scoops weren't so big. like up the maidens pic. but i do like the cr headlight assy.:D

wiht the right mods, the CR is hot with the S tail...

I love the S tail on the CRs as well, which is the reason I have so many pictures of it on my computer when I don't even have a CR. The short tail is my favorite thing about Buells, whether it's the XBs or the S1. I think with some normal high bars the bike looks great with the XB tail. I'm not crazy about the photoshops with the Ss tails though, it's gotta be the shorter S tail.

1+ for s tail! but it does look better with the side fairing like the picture drew has!

Im in process with my 1125R to convert to CR with lightning xx12scg tail. So far, ITS A BITCH, LOL. I should look good afterward but lots of mods to brackets and metal cutting and such. I have the CR frontend already and just waiting for all the carbonfiber to come in next week. I have some pics but need to download them... [email protected]

yea i do agree about the speed of color buell that is the sexiest buell out there actually my back ground on my computer and phone

once i finish mine, it should look like the pic that upthemaiden posted but mine will have the CR frontend, and all the plastics will be carbonfiber.

CR's look badass with lightning tails, IMO.

I like the look of firebolts with lighting tails, too! (my bike)

I was in the process of a full lightning conversion, and spring came quickly. I started thinking of how to get the bike back together quickly, and I ended up with the lightning SCG tail on my bike. The look really grew on me, so I decided to keep it that way!

If I ever buy a CR, the lightning tail conversion is a must!

I love the firebolts with lightning tails. I fully intend to do that to my lightning someday when I want a project.

Texas: just go above this post and click on the link that says "my pics" then upload whatever you've got. When you go to post something just click the button that says "Add Your Photo" and the whole list will pop up.

So, far. This conversion is a bitch... I broke the right rail and tail center section today during my attempt to install. Im gonna have to start all over and put some more research and development into this conversion. Having to make offset brackets and such. I have most of carbonfiber installed and just trying to figure something on the clipon bars and finding brake and clutch levers with hydraulic remote cans. This entire conversion suxxxx but should be cool when finished.

I havent been able to work much on conversion but here a pic or two of what Ive done. I still need alot of work and R&D on tailsection.

like i said... its not simple. i want to see how you go with relocation of hte heatsink etc. battery size and all the wiring.

i got the tail sorted but then found it too much to fit everything! so reverted.... for now.

I worked some more on my conversion today but ended up putting the 1125R tail back on for now because beachnbikerfest.com is coming up April 15 at SPI,TX and I cant miss it. Im having friends ride down so goto be able to have passenger seat for rider. Will continue my conversion afterward. I will keep this post updated as much as possible.
