no. the seals built into the bearings. HOWEVER...what i would do is using common sense and tenderness....use tiny flat tipped screwdriver or small dental pick...remove each seal....2 per bearing....and apply a very light amount of heavy wheel bearing grease...then reinstall seal. tenderness and common sense a must. will prolong bearing life if done correctly.

Just changed my rear bearings , only have 2400 miles on them, They felt rough when they were in the wheel once I had them out they felt smooth, took the seal off lots of grease. of coarse I changed them, can you explain this ?

all motorcycle wheels with a "slide-thru" axle....the exception being shaft drive cycles....have a spacer tube of some sort or another inside the hub. purpose of the spacer tube is to load one inner bearing race against the inner bearing race on the opposite end of the hub. this is how the wheel rotates around the fixed axle. when the bearings are mounted in the wheel hub and you attempt to spin the inner race you are not only spinning that race but the tube and inner race on the other bearing opposite side. always feels "notchy". best i can explain it. remove bearing from wheel....spin inner race...silky smooth assuming bearing in good shape. why? you're not spinning the spacer tube and opposite bearing inner race. make sense?
