I am really ashamed but I haven't been riding my 2008 XB9XS. I let the inspection expire. I took it yesterday. I've owned it 1-2 years, and it has only 2,2024 miles. I keep it on the charger. It did start right up & still run great. Funny thing, the inspection guy said I had to remove the stock bars from over the headlight, that that is illegal in Virginia, but just put it back on.
Anyway, not sure what former owner did, I think it had about 1700-1800 when I got it! I know I need to change the oil & filter immediately. (My husband does my work, I just have to ask/beg him[smirk]) I do have a service manual. But, what would you recommend from experience that I definitely ask him to do.
I also have a 2011 CBR250R I ride a lot because it is lighter to push around & actually fun because you have to really ride it, not be lazy (i.e. downshift a lot for curves, etc.) I couldn't believe how much faster the Buell is when I switched to that. At first, I was like OMG this is too much for me. But that quickly turned into a smile.
I do promise to run my Buell more, though!!! I promise.
