Good Day Fellows,

I need a starter solenoid for my 2008 SB9SX.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can direct me to a good source.

Regards,
Olandy

Hello Joel9,

It appears that LSHD doesn't sell to international buyers.
I am located in British Columbia, Canada, so...out of luck.

Do you know another source for this solenoid?

Thank you.

Fellows,

I've found a starter solenoid at JCW.
However they recommend part no. MC-STS2 from Standard Motor Products that doesn't look right. I'd be very grateful for your advice.

Cheers,
Olandy

Are you sure it's the solenoid? there is a starter relay also. I dunno, i really haven't messed with the starter before[confused]

Is it the starter clutch drive? Does your starter just spin and not engage if so its your starter clutch drive. Need more info.

If a do a jump start from the battery on my car, the bike will start on a blink. If I use the brand new battery on the bike, the starter just does some repeated clicks and won't turn the engine at all.

I had similar issues on my 06 xb12ss, click click click all the time when i went to start it, even with a new battery. I ended up checking every ground, found a possible culprit on the grounding strap and then I proceeded to clean the starter switch inside the handlebar assembly. Sanded and cleaned the contacts, and now she hasnt clicked at all. This may or may nor pertain to your issue, but its worth a shot.[smirk]

Thank yo Athlonrider.

I'll check the starter switch.
All the other connections were checked and cleaned.

Cheers.
Olandy
